For my sketches, I primarily focused on sketches that related to me. I like the beach so I chose to make a logo with palm trees. I also really like the sky and hearts, so that's why you'll also see a lot of that in my ideas.
For my business cards, I wanted to go with a simple yet groovy design. I just used the pen tool to make the background shapes. For the colors I tend to gravitate to more pastel shades. The font I used was called Modak-Devanagari. I liked that it was cool but you could still be able to read the words.
Whenever I decide to sketch something I always fall to drawing hearts. Of course, we all know what they mean, but I wanted to give this logo more meaning. I was bored one day in a meeting I was in and decided to draw a heart with steps leading up to an entrance. This symbolizes how I've become more vulnerable and have started to open my heart and accept people in. I've had a hard time with letting people see the real me so this logo symbolizes a change that I made within myself. The colors all symbolize something. Red symbolizes love and joy which is also a sign of good fortune in most Asian countries. Orange symbolizes optimism and warmth. Finally purple symbolizes peace and ambition. I hope that in the end I can look a this logo and remember its purpose.
I wanted my postcard to come from a place that I hold near and dear to my heart. I did Puerto Rico because I’m Puerto Rican. It was hard to find a photo that I liked but in the end, I chose a picture that showed both the beauty of the land and the sea. For the font I chose one called Summer which is very fitting. I chose light blue as the border in the back to represent the clear blue skies and pristine water.
