Lisandra Cajigas

  My calligram for this project was a butterfly. Although a butterfly is quite a basic idea I wanted to use a butterfly for its significance. When searching up what butterflies symbolize, I saw that it said that they mean transformation, rebirth, hope, endurance, and love just to name a few. In my letter I talked about how I hope that I've grown from how I was in college. I also talk about what I imagine I'll be doing in my career when I hit 40. It was hard for me to think about what I wanted to say to my future self since 20 years is so far away that I don't even know what I'll be doing tomorrow. I used the pen tool to outline the lines from my sketch and then after that I used the type on path tool to put my text into the outline.

American computer scientists Bob Kahn and Vint Cerf developed the internet but ARPANET helped make the internet into how we use it today. The internet was created in 1983 but was intended to be for the military until it later became for the world to use. Initially, the internet was used for government researchers to share information but today the internet can used for almost anything. 2. Tim Berners-Lee created the World Wide Web in 1989. The WWW was originally created to "meet the demand for automated information-sharing between scientists in universities and institutes around the world".   Hi everyone my name is Lisandra Cajigas! I'm a junior majoring in Advertising and Public Relations. I'm from Maryland but I definitely prefer Tampa. A fun fact about me is that I'm Puerto Rican and I also played the flute for 9 years. Some things that I like to do are thrifting, finding new places to eat, and listening to music. Since my concentration is in advertising I hope to improve my digital media skills to become more creative.
