Business Cards

Image
For my business cards, I wanted to go with a simple yet groovy design. I just used the pen tool to make the background shapes. For the colors I tend to gravitate to more pastel shades. The font I used was called Modak-Devanagari. I liked that it was cool but you could still be able to read the words.

Postcard

I wanted my postcard to come from a place that I hold near and dear to my heart. I did Puerto Rico because I’m Puerto Rican. It was hard to find a photo that I liked but in the end, I chose a picture that showed both the beauty of the land and the sea. For the font I chose one called Summer which is very fitting. I chose light blue as the border in the back to represent the clear blue skies and pristine water.

Somewhere

For this project, I decided to use a scene from my favorite movie, 10 Things I Hate About You. I had a hard time figuring out where I wanted to place myself but in the end, I put myself in between the characters. I wanted to make it look like I was listening to the conversation and that I was part of it. I tried to make my outfit fit with the clothes of the 90s but I feel like it could've been better.

BW to Color

Image
The picture that I chose for this project was a picture of me at a concert that I went to in the beginning of October. I feel this perfectly represents being connected to the world around you and also to the people around you. When you go to concerts everyone is going because they like the artist who's performing. For my colored photos I decided to go with double-split complimentary, split complimentary, and square. I didn't really put much thought as to why I chose these but they were colors that I feel like really popped out in comparison to the colors that you see in the original photo.

Tagbrush

Image
My logo symbolizes becoming vulnerable and opening your heart to let people into your life. This logo personally symbolizes a change in my life as I have learned that I need to open up to people to garner a strong relationship with them. I didn't put that much thought into how I wanted the tag brush to look I just knew it needed to look cool. I unintentionally put the logo underneath the same logo but it adds a uniqueness to my tag brush. The colors for the tag brush are just colors that I find appealing and fit into my aesthetic.

Propaganda Poster

Image
My propaganda poster advocates for loving one another. I feel like especially now with the conflict between Israel and Gaza we must remember that love can conquer all. In my poster I wanted to use red as the base since the color is common in propaganda posters. For the hearts I chose different shades of pink since pink is another color to represent love. I also put white hearts in my poster. White symbolizes purity and peace which I feel like fits with my theme and overall message for the poster.

Logo Project

Image
Whenever I decide to sketch something I always fall to drawing hearts. Of course, we all know what they mean, but I wanted to give this logo more meaning. I was bored one day in a meeting I was in and decided to draw a heart with steps leading up to an entrance. This symbolizes how I've become more vulnerable and have started to open my heart and accept people in. I've had a hard time with letting people see the real me so this logo symbolizes a change that I made within myself. The colors all symbolize something. Red symbolizes love and joy which is also a sign of good fortune in most Asian countries. Orange symbolizes optimism and warmth. Finally purple symbolizes peace and ambition. I hope that in the end I can look a this logo and remember its purpose.
